Founding Director:
Dr Polina Zioga is an international expert in Interactive Media and Film, and Audience Research. Her Ph.D. research investigated the use of Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCIs) in the Creative Industries, and was selected as one of the Top-Ranked LABS Abstracts 2017 by Leonardo (MIT Press). She is an Advisory Board Member of the international Interactive Film and Media Journal, Reviewer of the international Frontiers in Psychology and Frontiers in Human Neuroscience journals, and Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy UK. She has more than 15 years of experience of working with a range of stakeholders, including academic institutions, governmental organisations, NGOs, and for-profit companies; managing and leading multi-disciplinary and diverse teams; and successfully delivering collaborative research projects. Her work has received international awards; has been presented and published world-wide in high impact journals, books and international conferences, invited talks and guest lectures, art exhibitions, and film festivals; and has appeared in The Conversation, The Guardian technology podcast and the TechWorld.
